Welcome to TapForce
TapForce is a gacha turn-based battler where you collect fighters, build a team of 5-6, and progress through different game modes. Don't worry about getting the “perfect” team right away — you'll naturally collect better fighters over time. This guide walks you through what matters most, one page at a time:

The #1 Rule in TapForce
Never use an elite fighter (4 skills) as food to promote another elite. Every elite becomes useful eventually thanks to the Charm system, and you need up to 46 copies for max promotion. Food fighters (3 skills) exist specifically to be fused — that's their only purpose.
How Fighters Work
Every fighter in TapForce is either an elite (your actual team members) or a food fighter (exists only to fuel promotions). Here's the easy way to tell them apart:
Elite Fighters
- 4 skill slots (4th unlocks at level 180)
- Your actual team — invest everything into these
- Keep every copy you get, even duplicates
Food Fighters
- 3 skill slots (easy to spot)
- Exist only to be fused into elites for promotion
- Safe to use freely as promotion material
How to tell in-game: Open a fighter's profile and count the skill slots at the bottom. 4 slots = elite (keep!). 3 slots = food (safe to fuse). You can also check the Fighter Wiki to look up any fighter.
The Six Factions
Every fighter belongs to one of six factions. Factions have a rock-paper-scissors advantage system: fighting a faction you're strong against gives you +30% damage. This matters most in Mech Event and Arena, but don't stress about it early — just use your best fighters regardless of faction.
The Main Four
Biggest roster. Home to the #1 damage dealer.
Stars: Spekkio, Ruby, Karma
Crowd control and multi-hit specialists.
Stars: Scythe, Laguna, Chancer
Best supports in the game live here.
Stars: Zura, Mazu, Otto
Stacking/ramping damage that snowballs.
Stars: Lily, Teepo, Fenrus
The Independent Pair
Tech/robot theme. Teryx can break the damage cap. Griffin and Cobra are strong against each other.
Stars: Teryx, Bishop, Cyborg
Debuffs and dark magic. Dax is the game's most versatile fighter. Griffin and Cobra are strong against each other.
Stars: Dax, Necro, Zemus
Heads up: Cobra and Griffin fighters are harder to get — lower drop rates from orbs and higher capsule pity (500 vs 400). Don't chase them early. For details on summon rates, see the Summon Rates page.
Fighter Classes
Each fighter also has a class that determines their role in battle. A good team usually has 1-2 damage dealers, 1-2 supports, and a tank or brawler up front.
Goes in front, absorbs hits, sometimes forces enemies to target them (taunt)
Flexible hybrid — deals damage and provides some utility
Your main damage dealers. These are who you build your team around
Mastery bonus: +15% Crit Chance
Area damage and debuff specialists — weaken enemies for your team

Healing, shields, and buffs — keeps your team alive and hitting harder
Who Should I Invest In?
These fighters show up on almost every top player's roster. If you pull any of them, prioritize leveling them. Don't have them yet? That's fine — use whoever you have and swap them in when you get them.
The game's Swiss Army knife. Energy manipulation, extra attacks, and team energy on kills. Fits in every mode.
Buffs your back-line damage by +50% and shields your front-line. One of the best supports in the game.
Can hit up to 6 times per skill — each hit has its own damage cap, so he scales incredibly well.
The #1 damage dealer for Mech Event (the biggest endgame mode). Self-sustaining energy means he fires skills constantly.
Healing, ATK buff, and Torment debuff all in one. Put him in position 1 with a block build and he's nearly unkillable.
Don't have these fighters? That's totally normal! Early on, just build the best fighters you have. Any elite fighter can carry you through the first few weeks. You'll naturally collect the top-tier ones over time from orbs and events.

Other Fighters Worth Knowing
These fighters aren't universal picks, but they're stars in specific modes. You'll want them eventually, but don't worry about them until you've built a solid core team.
